During a GRIMP rope-rescue training conducted in a natural environment, a Mobile Redirect Pulley on highline (PRM TYRO) manoeuvre was deployed as part of a demonstration. A rock anchor (thread) failed, causing the litter and casualty to fall.

Heavy-load lifting test (439 kg) using a HARKEN TOP CRANK winch, conducted by a trainer for a company specializing in high-voltage power lines. A demonstration was conducted in a closed warehouse with an available height of 8 meters; the entire system had been pre-assembled by the requesting company. Failure of the steel carabiner at the top of the anchor point.

During a work-at-height training course for the crew of a tall ship, a rescue scenario was set up on the bowsprit involving a casualty who had fallen onto his fall-arrest lanyards. The raise was carried out using a HARKEN Wingman tackle fitted with automatic-locking triple-action carabiners. The carabiner gate opened fully under load during the raise.

A team of 3 rope-access technicians was assigned to clear and secure the inside of a duct in a cement works during a kiln shutdown. One technician was lowered top-down, knocking off the cement build-up as he descended. The other two technicians remained outside in case of rescue. Build-up of cement deposits in the lower elbow burnt the technician's feet.

Exercise to evacuate a worker from a tower by a GRIMP team. Mobile Redirection Pulley on Fixed Anchor (PRM PF) anchored at ground level on the wheel of an off-road utility vehicle (4x4 with knobbly tyres). The strap was passed under the front tyre in the direction of rotation of the wheel. The wheel lifted off the ground during the tensioning phase of the system.

Exercise on a big wheel carried out by a GRIMP team on the highest gondola. Evacuation of a casualty (50 kg dummy) using a Mobile Redirection Pulley on Fixed Anchor (PRMPF). The casualty was evacuated without incident; the system was then used to lower two rescuers. When the Petzl Maestro was released, the two team members fell several metres with a pendulum effect.

During refresher training (GRIMP Team), an evacuation exercice was carried out for a casualty on a flat roof using a bipod. The casualty was raised in the litter with an attendant on a 2.1 system. Rescue exercise on a training tower: evacuation of a casualty from the third-floor balcony using a Mobile Redirection Pulley on Fixed Anchor (PRM PF). The two ropes of the system (opposition/zipline and hauling rope) were each operated by a separate rescuer using a Petzl MAESTRO. Single-line rescue system. Stretcher drop with return to the ground.
