Levels Description
Level 1 – Rope Rescue Fundamentals
Learn the basics of rope rescue including knots, anchors, and team-based slope rescues.
Focus on personal skills and working safely in low-angle environments.
No prior experience required—ideal for new rescuers.
Level 2 – Intermediate Rope Rescue
Advance your skills into vertical environments with litter handling and complex rigging.
Develop personal rope movement, belay systems, and vertical raising/lowering systems.
Requires ITRA Level 1 or equivalent experience.
Level 3 – Advanced Rope Rescue
Master high-angle rescue in complex scenarios including AHDs, highlines, and pick-offs.
Emphasis on system supervision, problem-solving, and advanced team coordination.
Requires ITRA Level 1 & 2 qualifications or equivalent.
